Formed in 2008 to play a short set at the Titirangi Festival of Music, The Nukes have been working hard to create a set of original songs for their unique trio of ukulele and voice.

2008 was a busy year with The Nukes presenting a series of concerts which included a thrilling appearance at the NZ Ukulele Festival, where Ben was awarded APRA top Uke Song of the Year for ‘Peas and Carrots’.

The Nukes performances are fun and engaging with a line-up that includes; Laingholm resident David Thiele, affectionately referred to as ‘Snapper’, together with Ben ‘Country Boy’ Collier from the wild west of Woodhill, and ‘Fingers of Fire’ himself Dave Parker, founder of the Titirangi Festival of Music.

Expect to see them performing around Auckland in the next few months and then nationally sometime this year. Audiences never fail to be entertained by this group of ukulele enthusiasts... ‘The Nukes’.
